FHS 25+ ALUMNI CLUB MEETING MINUTES
September 12, 2007

Meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m.
MINUTES: The September minutes were read and accepted by all.
TREASURER: Checking Account Balance: $4,699.39; CD $6,000.
ADVERTISING: We have received (2) new advertisements for 2008
HISTORIAN: Helen Stovel is updating information.
PUBLICATIONS & MAILINGS: Jan Kimball suggested mailing postcards in January for the incoming class of 1983. Mike Jennings made a CD with addresses for this class. Information to be written on the cards will be to welcome the class and picnic date, time, and place.
PICNIC: August 10, 2008 we need more volunteers.
Food: Bonnie Etelamaki suggested changing the food section setup. She will draw a diagram on how it should look.
Registration: Pat Hallendy noticed a problem with some people not paying the registration fee and enter from other areas other than the registration setup. Jim Anderson suggested using a snow fence in the future.
Pictures: Jim Anderson suggested that we use a different color between the forms being used for registration and pictures. He also suggested to place this year's pictures on a board for display at the 2008 picnic.
Lottery Board: A $155 profit was made.
50/50 Raffle: A $423 profit was made. We need more volunteers to sell tickets.
Teardown: Pat Hallendy asked if teardown can start later than 6 p.m. for the
2008 picnic. To be discussed at a later meeting.
SCHOLARSHIPS: We may be able to give (3) $1,000 scholarships for 2008. To be discussed at a later meeting.
NEW ITEMS: Jim Anderson suggested to add information about the pictures and for the need of volunteers in the email that Jan Kimball sends out prior to the picnic.
Next meeting will be held on October 10, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.

Meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m.
MINUTES: The October minutes were read and accepted by all.
TREASURER: Checking Account Balance: $4,428.89 CD: $6,000
BBQ RAFFLE FUNDRAISER: After a short discussion regarding the type of item to be raffled off, all members were in favor of a flat screen TV. Pricing to be obtained by Chris Fletcher.
PUBLICATIONS & MAILINGS: Steve Urbaniak has some articles for the newsletter.
SCHOLARSHIPS & PLAQUES: Steve Urbaniak had the plaque engraved and has returned it to the high school display area.
OLD ITEMS:
This year (odd numbered year), the Vice-President, Corresponding Secretary, and Treasurer should be nominated and voted upon. The committee suggested that the By-Laws be changed to read that the President and Vice-President should be nominated the same year (even numbered year). To be discussed at a future meeting.
NEW ITEMS:
FHS Alumni Ornaments: Jan Smits-Kimball suggested a possible fundraiser to sell FHS Alumni Ornaments and stands. They could be sold for $15 with $8 slated for the club. The members felt that the only time we would be able to sell these ornaments is at the picnic and that August would be the wrong time of year to attract people's interest.
The committee members decided to gather for a Christmas Dinner instead of having the December meeting. Bonnie Etelamaki will call Roger's Roost on Schoenherr (between 14 mile rd. & 15 mile rd.) to make arrangements. The dinner will start at 6:45 p.m. Bonnie and Pat Hallendy will call members who do not have computers. Jan Smits-Kimball will email the others.

FHS 25+ ALUMNI CLUB MEETING MINUTES
October 11, 2006

Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.
The committee welcomed Jim Anderson β68 to his first alumni meeting. It was also mentioned that more classmates are needed to
attend these meetings to bring new ideas and to help make important decisions.
MINUTES: The September minutes were read and accepted by all.
TREASURER: Report was accepted by all.
HISTORIAN: Steve Urbaniak and Helen Ayers-Stovel will remain in their respective
positions.
NEWSLETTER/PUBLICATIONS: Steve Urbaniak will remain and asked for articles
for the newsletter.
WEBSITE: The website is sponsored through January β07. Janet Smits-Kimball
remains the Administrator.
OFFICERβS NOMINATIONS:
Chris Fletcher suggested that Janet Smits-Kimball continues the position of President and he will remain as Vice-President. All were in favor. The following positions have been filled:

THE 1960 CLASSES REUNION: Mitch Ritter β67 is planning this event for Friday,
August 10, 2007.
NEW:
Class pictures at the picnic: Jim Anderson suggested to have a schedule posted for class pictures. This way, classmates will know the
exact time and place to meet for their class pictures. All were in favor. He will write an article for the newsletter regarding this idea.
Also, there was a suggestion that we have a picture maker present so we can have the pictures immediately available and charge for each
picture to raise revenue.
Fraser Foundation: Janet Smits-Kimball delivered the updated FHS 25+ Class Listing CD.
December 13, 2006 Meeting: The committee discussed going to a restaurant to celebrate the Christmas holiday. There will be more
discussion at the next meeting.
Next meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2006.

Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.
MINUTES: Minutes were read and accepted by all.
TREASURER: Treasurer's report was read, reviewed and accepted by all. A
CD
was purchased to be cashed in time for
scholarhsips.
PICNIC REVIEW: Chris Fletcher reported food income of $1,010, minus
$395.72
food expense, equals $614.28 profit on the food.
Picnic
profit amount will be reported at the next
meeting.
We will need more volunteers for next yearβs
picnic.
Chris is considering changing the tent company.
He has a
classmate who is in the business and will give
us a better deal.
Chris will contact the company.
The music played by Bill Hallendy '69 and
classmates was very
nice. There were no negative comments.
WEBSITE: The site is sponsored through January.
OLD ITEMS:
Nominations will be taken next month for President,
Vice-President,
Secretary, Treasurer, Corresponding & Recording Secretary,
Advertising,
Publications, and Scholarship Committees.
Chris Fletcher motioned to allow Janet Smits-Kimball to
purchase any items
needed for the club at $100 and under. Bonnie Etelamaki
seconded the
motion. All were in favor.
Janet Smits-Kimball read a thank you letter from Jack
Kimball.
NEW ITEMS:
BBQ raffle for next year β all were in favor. A BBQ will be
purchased by
Janet Smits-Kimball very soon.
Next meeting will be held on October 11, 2006.
